This year was the first time in several years that we held the Chop Suey meet. Hooray!!! This is a good meet for the newer divers to get a few tips from the more experienced divers. The meet was at the Waimea end of Haleiwa Beach Park. This meet pairs divers, with different experience, hoping to gain learning experience. We had fourteen participants that dove and later got to talk story and eat Junior’s stew and rice lunch. The wind and surf were down, but all divers said the water was dirty.
The results were as follows:
FIRST TEAM: WAYDE HAYASHI & BRANDON KISHIMOTO – difference 1.69;
SECOND TEAM: GUY MIKASA & MARC NISHIMITSU – difference 2.23;
THIRD TEAM: ALOHA GANNON & EZRA CORTEZ – difference 3.77.

UKU’S —
FIRST: DAVIN AKI (5.45), draw 6.5.
SECOND: CHRIS TSUKAHARA (3.43), draw 9.5.
UHU’S —
FIRST: TYLER CICCONE, (3.69), draw 9.0.
SECOND: JIMMY MAHOKEY (3.3), draw 7.5.
